Village Bread just had the awesome opportunity to hang out with Newton Service Stars. What a great day! Newton Service Stars program's mission is to expose young children to local charities, develop empathy for those in need, and engage children in the benefits of helping others, all while having fun and working as a team! The kids started their morning by exploring their own passions and interests, which they then expanded on to see how they might use those to connect with and help others. I talked about Village Bread and shared some of my story. Then we ate some bread. Then we made some bread. And then we made close to 100 whoopie pies to share at the Friday Cafe! Well, maybe a few less than 100. I mean, we had to do some quality testing :)
